I recall reading early in my ownership that a fuse box from a Honda Goldwing was a good adaptation.
Never seen one installed, but on a quick ebay search packages like this look interesring.

Thanks Ed...that's a very comprehensive set of relays and fuses.
And a custom made wiring harness?

This is one in my 74 TR6. Five or so years down the road, ti's still working OK.
It normally has a cover over it.

Good morning,
I have a 71 TR6. I just purchased an aftermarket fuse box by Classic-Technologies. I did quite a bit of research before buying. This fuse box is outstanding and very well engineered. It is more compact than some of the others on the market. It will fit in the space where the OEM fuse box went. It has 15 fuses, 7 relays, and 2 flashers all built into the board. It has 2 relays for the headlights (1 for high beam and 1 for low beam), ignition, heater, electric fan, starter, and horn. Check them out, it’s Classic-technoligies.com. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
I also bought a new wiring harness. This is an exact replica of the OEM harness. Complete with all connections. I got it from Accusparks. They are in the UK. They make the harnesses for Moss and British Wiring. If you call them directly it will save you a bunch. I got mine for about $300. Moss charges $700. Good luck!

And as always, Ed, your attention to detail right down to how your finished your wire bundle covering ends is second to none. I still go back your web-site years after my restoration to look a photo occasionally.

I have a hybrid system. A slightly modified new OEM harness with auxiliary harnesses for specific purposes. At the left corner is a sealed fused relay box from a aftermarket Jeep supplier. It has a master fuse and a direct wire to the hot alternator post. The relays are triggered by OEM high beams, low beams, horn (for the extra two horns), running lights (to turn on driving lights), and the electric fan (always powered - runs after shut down ). Another harness that is master fused and is pulled in by the ignition (coil) power. It powers ECU, HP fuel pump, O2 sensors, stereo, stereo amp, power outlet, crank fired ignition, ignition coil pack. That is powered by heavy . direct wire to large spade on battery cable which continues to hot alternator post.

Six circuit blades fuse box with additional feeds for the electronic fuel injection, electric fan and driving lights and also for electric windows.
Modern relays for hooter and overdrive.
More relays for the fuel injection ECU. (out of sight)
Relays for the headlights low and high beam. (out of sight)

Hello Heinrch...what are you planning for protection from water ingress for the circuits below the grill.

Thanks for that question Malcolm. I nearly forgot the small splash plates I made yesterday and laid them out in the sun to dry. Brought them in after dark.
Winter is here and we had a week of strong rain. Now all is soaked and paint dries very slow.
The splash plates protect the relays and the harness is watertight.
