Contact Bert Cripe   register@tuliprallye.org
Location Cascade Mall, Burlington, WA, USA
Date April 13, 2018

The MG Car Club Northwest Centre proudly presents the 37th annual Tulip Rally. This rallye is a laid back and casual "gimmick rallye" where the challenge is to spot and record the answers to questions based on signs and objects found along the way while following turn-by-turn route driving instructions, devilishly laid out by the Rallyemaster, whose job it is to make you laugh as you attempt to find the answers to the rather silly questions, riddles, and trivia. Also note that we don't use the traditional "tulip" symbols in the route instructions.

This is not a traditional time-speed-distance event. No special knowledge nor equipment is needed to enjoy your car, your companion, the company of fellow enthusiasts and incredible roads and scenery.

Who: Anyone who enjoys their cars (all makes and types are welcome), incredible scenery, and a day playing in the fresh air and frolicking with fellow enthusiasts.

Where: We begin and end the rallye at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, at Interstate 5 exit 230. The staging area is in the Southwest corner next to I-5.

When: Saturday, April 14, 2018. Check-in and day-of-event registration opens at 8:30 am. Drivers' meeting begins at 9:30 with first cars out at ~9:45 am.

Cost: Pre-registration: $15.00, day-of-event: $20.00 (USD or CDN)

"Brits on the Bay" Presented by the Panhandle British Car Association. This event is in "Seville Square", a shaded park only a few feet from the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It's a lovely vacation or weekend paradise only walking distance to restaurants and shopping in the historic downtown Pensacola area.

“Participants Choice Award” and Class Awards are determined by the votes of registered show participants. The “Best of Show Award” is a Judged Award. Each vehicle entered will receive a ballot and dash plaque placed in the car at noon. Voting closes at 2:00 pm and awards are at 3:30pm. There are approximately 26 classes as determined by pre-registration numbers and each class will be awarded a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophy as applicable. There also are several special awards and some surprise awards. This is not a “concours” show, but a chance for British car lovers to get together, display their cars and have a good time. Any car can go home with a trophy. So bring your British “ride” this year and enjoy the camaraderie.

The Friday night welcome party and dinner will again be held at The Museum of Commerce, 201 E Zaragossa Street. Doors open at 5pm with activities starting by 6pm.

Date April 29, 2018

TWENTY-SECOND ANNUAL AUTOJUMBLE! A let’s – get – ready – for – SUMMER swap meet for British cars, parts, and related items. This meet is scheduled for the last Sunday in April to allow time to get your prize vehicles ready to DRIVE. Because of the success of our previous Autojumbles and the lack of British auto items at the much larger Portland Swap Meet, we are committed to making this an annual affair. (Remember, always the last Sunday in April)

We are continuing with the same successful format; inexpensive for exhibitors, free to buyers, and not overorganized. The focus is on British car stuff only – no muscle cars, model “A” Fords, speed equipment, or antique or collectable glassware. Only British cars and car related items will be displayed.

The sites for parts vendors will be covered in case of rain. There will be adequate space for cars to be displayed for sale, possibly covered.

Any British car club that has members committed to a total of five or more spaces will get the use of a free space to solicit membership or sell regalia.

Directions – From I-5 (North or South) take I-405 to Route 30, St. Helens, NW Industrial Area exit. Follow signs to Vaughn St. and turn right onto NW 27th. You will enter from 27th.

The CT MG Club's "BRITISH BY THE SEA” on June 3rd. 2018 is a fun GATHERING of people who own and appreciate British Vehicles of all Marques. Although we do present etched glass mug awards to vehicles selected by popular vote, "BRITISH BY THE SEA" is not a judged show. We want to encourage ALL British car, truck, and motorcycle owners and enthusiasts to attend and have an enjoyable time. Whether your vehicle is in pristine condition, or a daily driver, sparkling paint and chrome or with “Barn Fresh” patina, it deserves to be part of the event and on the display field.

The Featured Marque for this year’s 31ST Annual British By The Sea will be JAGUAR 120,140,150. As usual, our Featured Marque will be prominently displayed in the front row, and will have generous room to display the vehicles along with any club tents for memorabilia and hospitality.

Our BBTS Gathering is always scheduled on the first Sunday in June, at the scenic 240 acre Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford Ct., on the north shore of Long Island Sound. We want to encourage people to come down and enjoy a day mingling with other LBC owners, talk about cars, have a picnic, a glass of wine, and also take in all that Harkness Memorial State Park has to offer, such as the beach, the Mansion “Eolia”, and the Gardens. The CT MG Club donates a large amount of our proceeds from BBTS to the Park to purchase plants for the West Gardens, helping to restore the “Eolia” Gardens to their original grandeur as designed by Beatrix Farrand in 1919. In addition, we provide “people power” over a few weekends to plant them.

We have selected a variety of quality food vendors to attend in order to satisfy any appetite, from hot dogs and hamburgers, lobster rolls, and wood fired brick oven pizzas, to Ice Cream for desert. You can also bring a picnic to enjoy and share “out of the boot” of your car.

The expansive lawn areas offer ample room for the display vehicles, vendors, spectator parking and a spacious area for trailer parking.
Google BRITISH BY THE SEA 2014 YOUTUBE for an aerial video.

We hope to see you all on Sunday June 3rd 2018.
Please contact us if you need further information via the links above.

Tuscany and the Etruscan Coast: June 8th-16th 2018

8 days rally from the long beaches of Etruscan Maremma to the rolling hills, sun-kissed vineyards and castles of the inland territory

The venue is in the Tuscan Maremma and the Etruscan Coast: a timeless region with ancient roots, where the Etruscans and then the Romans flourished for centuries leaving behind important traces.

The roadmap is planned to let you enjoy the blue sea, sunny beaches and pristine coasts of the wonderful national park of Maremma together with the historic medieval villages like San Gimignano, Volterra, Massa Marittima nestled in the hills or stretched out along the coastline.

A stage is also planned in the cradle of the Italian Renaissance, Florence. Countless activities and your chance to be a cowboy are all on offer in this wild land.

Location Legends Field, Radium Hot Springs, BC, Canada
Date June 16, 2018

The Calgary MG Car Club will return to Radium Hot Springs B.C once again from Friday June 15 thru Sunday June 17 for the 10th edition of BritsBest Classics.

The picnic theme of the 2017 event will be featured once again, ( as will another Morris Calvert Memorial Rally ) the featured marques will be the MGB GTV8 ( celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2018 ) and the TR3 (60!).
The car show will be held in the same area at Legends Field on Saturday, with cars arranged in “picnic circles” and the “best in show” again determined by “donation”.  We raised $600 for local youth programmes in this way in 2017, and they will once again be the beneficiary in 2018.

Our host hotel properties will be the Crystal Springs Motel and Village Country Inn, which will be completely blocked for our guests. Reservations will only be accepted once your entry for the event is confirmed, so please do not contact the hotels to book, before you have a confirmation number to give them.

Please mark your calendars for the Father's Day weekend in Radium Hot Springs, and watch our web site for on-line registration, which we hope to have up very soon.

We look forward to seeing you in Radium Hot Springs in June.

16th running of the Kastner Cup, bringing 40 Triumph TR’s, GT6 and Spitfires together for a national race from all over the USA and possibly England and Europe

The Pittsburgh International Race Complex is an exciting 2.8 mile track with great elevation changes, fast sections and big runoff areas. Drivers who race in the Kastner Cup can race the following weekend through the Streets of Schenley Park, its a unique street race that winds through a city park and golf course – vintage racing like it was in the late 50’s, hay bales and all.

The 2018 Kastner Cup will be contested at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Beaver, PA on the July 6-8 weekend. Triumphs will run within their respective race groups with other sports cars throughout the weekend and the Kastner Cup will be a dedicated 40 minute race on Saturday, July 7 at approximately 4:00 pm.

The PVGP Historics started in 2004 and have grown over the past decade into a vintage race event that stands alone. Pittsburgh International Race Complex is the ideal venue for racing Triumphs. This purpose-built track, 40 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.Pittsburgh International Race Complex expanded the track in 2015, adding a 1.2 miles that stretches the entire circuit out to 2.8 heart pounding miles.

There will be a special Triumph paddock at PIRC and tent located on the lawn behind the lower garage. More details on the website above.

British Car Day is a volunteer-run event hosted annually by the Toronto Triumph Club, a not-for profit organization dedicated to preserving and driving Triumph motor cars. Since its inaugural event in 1984, British Car Day® has grown in leaps and bounds, and this past year drew around 1,000 British cars, over 50 vendors and 8,000 spectators. British Car Day® is held on the third Sunday of September and is open to vintage, classic and current British manufactured vehicles, including motorcycles.

The event is the largest, one-day, all-British car event in North America, with visitors from Ontario, the northeast United States, the Maritime Provinces, Quebec, and Manitoba, representing membership in 100 British car clubs. Our 35th British Car Day® is planned for Sunday 16th September 2018 ( 10:00 to 15:00 ) at Bronte Creek Provincial Park at 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville , Ontario L6M 4J7. Please check our website at www.BritishCarDay.com for more details.

Note 1: All park gate receipts go to Bronte Creek Provincial Park.

The Maple Leaf Car Show grew from a small group of local hot rodders who drove their cars in the parade and parked around the square for the remainder of the day, to a grand scale car show drawing in cars from all over the region. On warm sunny days, car show goers can expect to see upwards of 600 cars. For participants there are 26 categories to enter your vehicle in. Each registered car owner, will be provided a ballot to judge the other cars. Trophies are awarded in each category.

Each year features a custom t-shirt available for purchase and a dash plaque that is given to the first 400 cars to register.
