7th August 2011: Removed gearbox carpet and tunnel cover.
Stripped off ineffective Moss heat/sound proofing material from outside of gearbox tunnel, with some difficulty.
Replaced the heat-shielding on the outside of the gearbox cover.
Covered the heat-shielding on the inside of the gearbox cover with the new heat-shielding.
Replaced the original fibreglass heat-shielding between the foot-well front kick panel and the inside of the front bulkhead with new heat-shielding.
Ran out of fire proof contact adhesive
Put new heat-shielding underneath the foot-well carpets
Replaced all carpets and seat squabs
14th August 2011: Washed car with Meguair's Gold Class Shampoo, chamoised car with fresh water
Machine polished bonnet with Griot's paint glaze, hand cleaned off excess with micro-fibre cloth
Machine waxed all paintwork with Best of Show Wax and cleaned off excess with microfibre cloth.
(note to wax RH side of car, ASAP)
Started engine and drove car back into garage.
15th August 2011: Waxed RH side of car
Waxed/polished front valance with Red Wax
Washed and dried all microfibre polishing cloths
18th August 2011: Purchased pair of ANSI class 3 reflective safety jackets to carry under seats in car.
26th August 2011:
Brass Hose Barb 5/16th" x 1/8th" for fuel hose
Brass Hose Barb 5/16th" x 1/8th" for fuel hose
Brass Elbow 45 degrees: 1/8th" x 1/8th" for fuel hose
30th August 2011: Purchased 40-piece Tap and Die Set with money from selling Dad's old BSW and BA taps and dies to old British Motorbike enthusiast: Gary Roper.
