I ran into some fitment issues with the "swing spring" and Subaru adapter. I had to cut out the 2 inside studs, no problem there. My 3/4" lowering block would not fit, the studs are too short. Not a problem, the base of the adapter is about 1/4" higher than the Spitfire diff. Also, I used another non-swing spring plate under the spring, which allowed me to put a bolt and nut on for an alignment pin. Overall, I am about 1/2" higher than a stock Spitfire spring mount.
The studs were made a bit too narrow between them, left to right. I had to relieve the holes a bit to get the spring cage and plates to slide over the studs. Then I realized I won't be able to slide the spring in after the Subaru diff is in! I had to put the spring in the car first with the cage and plates and, as I was raising the diff in place, align the spring to slide onto the studs. I had to do this 3 times to get some clearance issues fixed! That will be the next journal entry!
