After doing a lot of research, I recently bought a QuickJack 3500SLX to use with my TR6. This is their model with the smallest footprint and 3500 pound lifting capacity. The minimum spread between the lifting points on this model is 27”. The straight section of the frame between the wheels on my TR is about 24”. I knew this when I ordered it but I had talked to someone else who had dealt with the same issue. The answer was to bridge between the two lift points on the jack along the straight portion of the frame. I tested it out with a 32” piece of 4x4 lumber between the lift and along the frame. It worked great. Now I will replace the lumber with some structural steel and rubber blocks. Obviously, I will add jack stands, etc. for additional safety. The increase in work space under the vehicle is going to really help.

Interesting. My frame is only 4” off the ground. How did you get the jack and 4x4 under the car?

My total floor to frame clearance is just over 7”. The lift is less than 3” when fully down. The 4x4 is actually only 3 1/2” so I had about 1/2” to spare. I plan to have a metal bridge made that will be about 2” tall to replace the wood.

I got the same unit and love it. I only wish I had waited. I bought the 3500lb unit from the manufacturer and now Costco.com has the 7500lb online with free delivery for the same as I paid.

What car are you planning to use that one. I looked at that and it was reasonably priced a lot of places but it wouldn't fit between my wheels.

I am use it it for my 1976 TR6. It fits perfectly between the wheels. Just need to bridge between the lift points and the frame.

I was thinking the 7500 lb model. You had said it was the same price at Costco for what you paid for the 3500. I thought you were using the 7500 on your vehicle. Lol
