My tr4a runs from the fuel pump in a metal line up to the front of the head, in front of the thermostat housing (under the hose to the radiator) then ends about six inches from the carbs. Don't remember if their is a rubber tube elbow by the fuel pump or a direct connection, I current have an in line fuel filter between the hard line and carbs, you could run direct to carbs with rubber hose.
I'll get a picture or two tomorrow

Hard line from fuel pump up to carbs with fuel hose making the end connection. Clamp secures hard line with bolt to lower thermostat cover bolt.
Can't guarantee this is "factory standard" but I would think so.

Thanks for the pics Bruce.
This is what I did today.
Just for interest, the 3rd pic shows the narrow belt conversion that I am doing. [ running thermo fan set up]

I am putting a 1964 TR4 back together and am not sure where the fuel line runs through the chassis from the tank to the pump. If somebody can help I would appreciate the help. Is steel line or braided line recommended and how long must the line be? Thank you!

My 4 lines run like Bruces' and I think is stock. Mal...oh man...that looks great. You might want to keep an eye on the closeness to the exhaust manifold and the possibility of percolating your fuel causing vapor lock after you shut down though.

The line goes down from the tank to a hole through the frame. Mine has rubber grommets through the frame. It then bends along the frame and is clipped at several spots. It then passes through another hole in the frame and comes up to the fuel pump. It really is no where near the exhaust heat because it is outboard on the frame.
Mine had a flexible rubber tube joining the piece from the tank down to where the long piece passes through the frame. Another flexible rubber tube joining to the short pipe to fuel pump.
I replaced my aging and rusted fuel line with large brake line from an auto parts store. It was difficult to bend as needed and to still get it to feed through. I used the old fuel line as a template.
