  • Motor running great, aluminum radiator and early '70's type fan, Sept '16

  • The hardtop is painted, I really like the color. Circa Sep '17

  • The bonnet looks fantastic! Oct '17

  • Body mounted, hydraulics in and brakes and moved into the shop at the new house.

Painting completed :D!

Work in progress. Full restoration. Keeping 1500 high compression motor, found a pre '73 rear bumper, thanks Tom! Found '79 rolling chassis (this was the basis of the rotisserie to jig the body) with OD transmission ( :) ) with short drive shaft, an engine, differential and full suspension for extra parts.

Motor rebuilt, OD transmission rebuilt. HS4 Carbs rebuilt, Euro style exhaust powder coated. Front suspension is in. The body is finished and separated from the frame jig, remounted alone on the rotisserie read for clean up and prep for painting.

Body final paint completed. Now comes careful assembly.

Motor and transmission installed on frame, engine run complete, transmission and O/D test complete. Differential rebuilt, rear end complete, brakes complete. Finished the brake lines and e-brake cable and mechanism.

Refinishing the dash adding instruments, working final gloss coats. Pressure washed body and bonnet. Checking door fit and deciding which ones I'll use. Cleaning interior and deciding what I need new.

Bumpers are rechromed. Body is back on the frame, brake lines completed. Brakes finished, handbrake cable run and operating, brake and clutch masters in and ready to fill and bleed the systems. Fuel lines completed from motor back almost to the tank.

Looking for upholstery and trim. Ready to send instruments out for refurb. Need to do final coat and buff and wax on dash.

I'm making steady progress, looks like I might just have it done by 2018...fingers crossed.

Paint color: Carmine Red
Interior: Tan or Black (likely tan)
Goal to have it on the road by Spring 2018 (was 2015, was 2016 was 2017....:).
