Thanks, Reg. What you're looking at is an oil temperature gauge. It was fabricated by the PO by using a water temperature gauge with an oil pressure faceplate. There are two inputs to it; one just below the oil pressure fitting on the driver side of the block and the other right from the oil sump drain plug, which has been replaced with a temperature sensor. There's also an under-dash switch to toggle between the two inputs. Not a lot of practical use but its fun to look at!
