Major non-working stuff: All lights except headlights are inop (all bulbs and fuses (only four--amazing!) are ok); need parking brake release button and spring; windshield washer pump (found on eBay, haven't bought it yet); heat/defrost blower inop (possibly a wiring problem);
Since these cars have notoriously bad electric systems, even though some of my stuff works (starter, headlights, wipers, horn) I'm wondering how much trouble it is to replace the wiring harness. What does anyone have to say about that?
I'm looking for replacements for the three relays on the left fender; don't know how to test them, but they are pretty cruddy and probably not all that expensive to replace. One is a 22RA, one 6RA, and one is not entirely legible, but reads in part "9?? Flasher." (Yes, I labeled all the wire connectors and took photos and drew a connection diagram.)
I also need two license plate light assemblies, as someone painted over them. The ID is L908.
Eventually I will need radiator hoses and fan belt, a speedometer (unless it's just a bad cable keeping it from working), body seals and gaskets (trunk lid, hood, doors), probably some switches, etc. I have found a couple other websites for parts (Moss and Roadster Factory), as well as eBay Motors. Looking forward to having fun with the coolest-looking little Britmobile ever!
