A very original 1969 TR6 with 98309 actual documented miles from two previous owners. 90% original factory paint, seats, carpet, steering wheel, interior, wheels and hub caps, etc. The top has been replaced with a Robbins top and soon will be replaced with a new old stock Amco top. The commission number plate is dated April 1, 1968, the same as the TR250's. I purchased this car just recently in Wilmington, N.C. where it has been for 32 years. It was purchased by the second owner in Virginia and then brought to Charlotte, N.C. The car is originally a California car purchased in Monterey new by the original owner, believed to be in the military at the time. I think the dealer that sold this car was Clyde Young in Monterey. I also think this is #1785 of 7,141 1969 TR6 built, so that makes it among the early ones produced. My intentions are to keep this in my collection and also keep it as original as absolutely possible.

Congratulations on your original 1969 TR6! Since you say that your car is originally from Monterey, CA and has mostly original paint perhaps you wouldn't mind a pertinent question. On the underside of the bonnet there are three stickers listing the patents, US Emission Standards, and the Emission Control Settings. Does your TR have these stickers and is the sticker for the Emission Control Settings for the TR-250 or the TR-6? I understand some of the early ones (and yours certainly qualifies) had the TR-250 sticker. BTW, mine is also a conifer 1969 first sold in CA.

Hi Jim, I just took a few pictures yesterday and it appears that one of the stickers fell off but the other two are still intact. I also had a TR250 and I think it had the same stickers but not sure,(20+ years ago). I hope this helps! Carl Butler
