My friends son is modifying a nice exhaust header I have to fit my 1300. It had already been ceramic coated. Oh well.
Next step he will add the tabs for mounting.

I did the same.
A 6 port 1147 header on my 8 port 1500.
I think it works very well. Definitely more low to mid range 'grunt' than the Monza 4-1.
They used very heavy gauge flanges on those headers!

Awesome looking workmanship. Make sure flange is same thickness as stock. Looks thick in the pic.

As I remember the flange on the Monza header was thinner than the twin HS4 inlet manifold I was using.
I had to gring the lozenge shapped retainers to clamp both manifolds.
When I switched to the 1147 header, I had the opposite problem.
I used angle cut sections of stainless steel pipe to set the retainers at an angle and maintain even clamping pressure on both manifolds.
The 1147 flange IS very thick.
