1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500
The car has 60k miles. Probably the original clutch. It shifts fine with no slip or drag but the clutch engages at about the top of the pedal. Seems like the other cars ive had engaged at about 1/2 pedal. I have read about the lack of adjustment on the slave. Not sure of any adjustment.

Am i ok or is this baby about to die?

I guess it could be about to die. I once fitted a Quintin Hazel clutch that was as you describe from new and soon started to slip.

I have a bad left knee, so I made the master push rod adjustable to lower the bite point.

Clutch plate getting thin. A new one is in your future.
However check all the mechanical points, and hydraulics.
But clutch plate at 60k not unreasonable, depending on who and how they used the clutch.
