I have plenty of fuel to the carbs. Bowls are full. Car will start when I spray brake cleaner into the throats, but stops after burning up the brake cleaner. Car ran nicely until it sat for about two weeks. Any suggestions?

Jets blocked?

Pull the jets and check to see if a small bit of rubber from the fuel hose has them blocked.

Happened on my SUs until I replaced the old fuel lines.

You are using the choke, right?

Has the weather been wet recently? Might be your fuel has separated.

When you remove the jets, also remove the fuel floats and pass a thin wire through the hole at the bottom of the float bowl to make sure there is no blockage. You want to make certain that fuel is reaching the jet.
