OK Folks, so here's my next project, just dragged out of a barn into the daylight after a 40-year slumber. My wife likes it and is calling it her car and wants it repainted in the same color. So, here we go. Open the wallet wide....

I wish I had that much to start with when I restored my 54 TR2. Luxury.........If it had been a house and the termites weren't holding hands it would have fell down. Patience and logical thinking.

I've started with worse cars. Don't worry about the cost, the wife will understand. Yeah right.

This car will not be a problem. When I got mine it was in many parts, did not run, and was painted a bass boat green with large metal flakes. Even the dash was painted with the same color and no wiring. It's saving grace, no rust anywhere. Original color was like yours, blue and it was a TR3B. It is now a beautiful car and was on the cover of Victoria British a few years ago. I am a shade tree mechanic and did all the work myself so you can do it. Had a friend help me with the wiring.

No Tod, you are not that SICK ....and be sure you always can find "sicker". Look at me , I have a TR3A 59 "normal" and a TR3A "Rallye", I am restoring a TR3 "small mouth" (from a wreck" ....and not finished yet) and I just bought a derelic wreck... a TR3 ITALIA 2000 GT!!!! (body pièces are quite impossible to find).... so which one is the sickest???
Have a good fun, your TR will be soon on the road!
GG

Nice find Tod! Yes, his & hers triumphs makes for a happy family. If the rest of it looks as good as what shows in the pictures, you've got a great car to start with. Enjoy!
