Folks ..I heard back from McKay Rubber in Australia and they do have the longer version of the Triumph TR-8 top radiator hose I had them create some years ago...when you use an aftermarket intake manifold-edelbrock, wildcat, willpower the thermostat housing sits differently than the OEM set up and you need more length at each end so you don't kink the hose...Part number CH 5702...cut to fit. .....Likely available from Europe auto parts distributors or McKay website.....I also add a stainless steel spring to the 160 degree bend at the thermostat housing to keep it from deforming...

HI Bob,

Yes, both are available, however I don’t recall any of the US Triumph specialists stocking the new design.

Region Make OEM # Mackay # Notes
UK TRIUMPH GRH628 CH4277 GRH628 OEM# Replacement - See CH5702 for Aftermarket Inlet Manifolds
UK TRIUMPH GRH628-LONGER CH5702 Mackay's Longer Version of GRH628 to suit Aftermarket Inlet Manifolds

Can you send me a list of Triumph specialists in the US, and I will send them out a pricelist and see if I get any interest in someone stocking them.

Is this something Rimmer Bros. may supply?
