The ride height of my Stag is bothering me. I swapped the front struts for some other set, off another donor car, as my originals developed a knocking sound which I eventually traced to a loose nut holding the shock down in the tube. For the front, from center of wheel to bottom of wheel arch I have 14.5 inches on one side and 15 inches on the other. For the rear I have 13 inches and 13.5 inches. I'm thinking of buying a set of 4 new progressive rated springs. I'd like to lower the car slight as well. Can any recommend what's a good height? It seems like the standard height should be 14.5 inches. I have 14 inch wire wheel with 185/70x14 tires. Even the side witht the13 inch distance seems to high.

I've been driving the car for some miles, but the front hasn't settled down any further
