After striping the carbs cleaning and adjusting them I noted that the position of the dashpot tops could be assembled in the wrong position as there is a breather hole in the top, this could be set in four positions which one is correct as the breather is there for a reason, all the cars I look at in the shows vary, the only evidence of the correct way round it should go is seen in the owners Manuel which shows it to be facing the air filters, you can recognise where the breather is on the cap by the bulbous bit on the neck of the filler, how many of us are aware of the right position to get the best results?
