Check out the Boot Lift Kit I developed!

It makes accessing your trunk SO nice.

I have this Gas Spring manufactured to the exact correct geometry and strength, and use special ball studs to match the 1/4-28 thread, and provide a plated stiffener bracket. $35 plus $5 shipping in the USA.

Go Here to see it in action!

We manufacture over 200 products for LBC's. We make mostly accessories, and a few hard parts. Our first product was the plastic MGB Battery Bin way back in 1989. We now sell retail! Check us out!

As with the bonnet lift kit, it installed too easy and functions correctly...there must be something wrong...

1977 MG MGB MkIV "Maggie"
1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500 "The Triumph"
2002 Land Rover Discovery "Rover"
These are the bomb. Makes the trunk (boot) so much easier to use. Highly recommended.

Hey, Robert. I have both the bonnet and boot kits in the cart right now, but just wanted to make sure that the boot kit is good for the Mk2. I assume so since the years are not identified, but just wanted to make sure.

I'm in the middle of my rebuild and am fitting the gaps and raised and lowered my bonnet I don't know how many times last night. I didn't get my fingers chopped off or stitches in my head, but it was close several times. Figure these will help me out now, and well into the future!

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes, the boot kit is good for all years Spitfire. The catalogs show the same part number for the telescoping prop for 62-80, and this is a direct replacement!

See video here: https://clarkandclarkinc.com/catalog/detail/spitfire-boot-lid-lift-kit

Good for you to get your bonnet gaps right! Time well spent!

Cheers,

Robert
