I am going to paint the rocker panels and the rear valance black. I have looked at other posts, and they say SEM flat black.
The Rocker panels would be black below the chrome strip; easy.
The rear valance, I'm not so sure about. Does the rear of the trunk lid also get black? under the bumper is also body color? Where is the line for that?

Think SEM Trim Black is a better match....kind of Satin.

Thanks
The DPO only painted with body color. I already fixed behind the front grill. The Mimosa shining through the grill looked stupid. I fixed it, before I even knew what I did was what it came out with.

The rocker panels were not paint but 3M body schutz. A type of rubberized and textured coating intended to protect from corrosion and provide sound deadening. The only issue is that it requires a special gun to apply because it is so thick. I would think that spray undercoating would be a closer match than paint if you don't want to go through the trouble and expense.

I used Flex Seal on my front wheel wells 2 years ago, and have found that to work well. It is still stuck on, no peeling. Some of the black (original?) coating had worn off from the tire, as the shocks were shot, exposing a good sized area of original green paint. This *might* be OK for the rocker panels, but it is more of a eggshell or semi gloss sheen, so I would not use it on the rear.
