Then why did you send it to West Valley? I think you mean it is freshly rebuilt.
And that is still no guarantee that it is right. You've got to check it yourself.
In case it's not obvious, the washer was to deal with a case where the OEM cable was just a bit too long and/or the hole in the gear just a bit too short. But replacements are rarely as accurate even as the OEM parts, so it's still very possible that either one is true beyond the ability of the washer to compensate. The same problem exists at the speedo head.
