I bought a sad 100/4 BN1 from my cousin in 1971 for $700 , restored it for $1000 in Spartan Regal Onyx Jet Black and unfortunately sold it in 1983 for $8000 to drop out of society and live in Byron Bay . Came back to Sydney in 1990 and it was for sale , a little sad looking for $29000 . Passed on it and bought a 1965 Nissan Silvia CSP311 coupe for $4000 ( one of 39 sold new in Australia and one of a total 4 year Japanese production of 443 cars ) , which I still have . Then bought a 1989 MX5 6 years ago which I still have with 99000 k's on it . Then late last year , bought a BN2 with a full Le Mans kit , partly restored for lots of money and is currently being properly rotisserie restored to first class condition and will be better than new when completed this year . It was OEW with black trim when new and will be the same with either bright red or black coves .
