First car at age 16 was 1957 Austin Healy 100-6, fine car, wish I still had it! Have owned 3 Spitfires over the years. Second one I put a buick v6 into it and called it leaping lena, sold it after beating a Mustang Cobra in a road race. Too many dependents to worry about at the time!
The last one is the current 70 spitfire with a 1967 1147 cc engine. I put a Chevy Sprint turbo charger on it and wow what a blast. The new engine is a1969 1296+ cc slightly modified engine.

I am confident that this will work on most Spitfire models up to 1970 (round tails). My Spitfire is a 1970 Mk3. It is difficult to do this write up after it has been installed. Luckily, I took some pictures of the important parts of the installation. You may want to improve on it which is what most of us like to do! I have attac...

Well in 2014 most of my work was done on the engine. It is now complete and I fired it up back in December 2014, ran well on first startup. Tuned it a bit and then ordered dual DCOE 40s. Got the Webers, removed the SUs and fired up the engine again......how sweet it is! Removed the engine and put aside. Repaired the transmission and put it aside. January 2015: Now I am working on the body parts. I have one floor panel done about 90%. Will be replacing the rockers and rear fenders n...
