I have a nicely worn notch in the bracket for the latch and the noise of the hood rattling was driving me crazy (a short putt at best). A short length of plastic door edge protector slipped on eliminated the rattle. Just cut a short piece and push it into place. They come with their own bead of adhesive so they stay on.

The stock heater controls on the Triumph Spitfire are illuminated by a single tiny bulb in the center of a piece of transparent plastic. This leaves the outer edges of the lettering with little to no illumination. After upgrading my dash lights to LEDs it became very apparent that I needed to illuminate the heater controls as well.
