Working the MGB last week. I figured the I had better make sure the brake lines had no leaks. I built up the front calipers and plumbed them into new flex lines. Since I haven't received the spindles and suspension parts, I figured that I could at least test the pressure integrity. I put some wood shims between the pads and tried bleeding the system. I started with vacuum bleeding the right side, that worked well. But when I did the left I was sucking air. Another leak . The right rear brake worked ok, but the left was bone dry and I wasn't able to get any fluid at all. Sadly this is going to require more major work on the brake hard lines as well...more parts on the way.
A local MGexp member Jeff Strong agreed to help me out with getting the rims cleaned up. He had finished the first one this afternoon. I was able,to get a couple of coats of primer on it before dark.
