Hi I have some experience of this,, mostly caused by having the chassis plated/welded usually only done on the bottom and sides. when this cools it shrinks and bends the chassis sothe gaps open up. short and easy fix is to chain the car to a full frame hoist and use the weight of the hoist to bend the chassis straight. otherwise ... lots of work.
