Depending on weight, FedX is usually the least costly.

For a few years a decade ago, Fedex bought a car shipping company and shipped whole cars. Had good luck with them, but they don’t do it anymore.

Go to freightquotes.com and setup an account. Then you can put in the dims and weight of what you are shipping along with to and from. You'll get a few pages of freight quotes instantly. I use their services almost weekly in our machine shop. Right now you can get motor freight rates at a very reasonable cost.

I just shipped 2 engines to Minnesota (they were crated) and the cost was $300. FedEx freight wasn't the lowest bidder but I picked them, I know if I had an insurance claim they'd be less likely to give me trouble on a claim. Yes you can get insurance also.

If you are shipping large freight items try Old Dominion- I had TR6 frame shipped from the Midwest to the east coast for around 400.

Hello, I used USHIP for a TR6 hardtop with glass from NJ to So. FL for only 300 dollars and it arrived intact within a week, it was the cheapest everyone else was out of reach. Also these are private individuals or companies that sell space they bid on it so don't take the first one and you can purchase insurance.

Would you like a cup of coffee?

Used parts are negotiable; they look better on your car than in my shop.

Old Dominion is not only good to deal with, but their trucks are sane and polite out on the road.
