I just dragged home another new love- a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 fastback- my second true muscle car, and one which will remain a while- I have loved these since I was a kid(and they were still newer)

Anyway, I was doing some relocation of parts into the garage(!) last night, and was amused to note that the center grill section- not including the headlight stacks- ALONE was WIDER than theTR6 by a few inches!

Yeah, I have a real soft spot for Galaxie and Fairlanes, especially those fastbacks. It opens the door to the only era of NASCAR I ever really cared about. Pictures and more story, Scott!

Thanks guys! I still have to find out how to post photos since I pretty much stopped using Photobucket when they started charging the little guys (like me)... The Galaxie is a 1967 Fastback, should have a 390 with a 3 on the tree, but engine and trans are missing... It will be a full restore, but the most major rust found to date is the passenger rear foot well, so I will be fabricating my own panels... I just got started on her, and am looking forward to the resto...

Scott, You can post photos right here, as an attachment. Just follow the instructions "Click to attach a photo or file …" You can post 4 at a time. This would be a good time to learn. Really, it's very easy.

Yeah, pics please. I learned to drive (and 4 wheel drift) in a 63 Galaxie with a 351.

What she looks like at the moment... Thanks for the heads up about the attachments... Worst rust is the passenger rear seat footwell... I'll post more pics below...

Any kind of box o' parts come with that? It's definitely a worthy project. My uncle had a 1966 7 Litre and my dad had a 1963 Galaxie 500 with the T-Bird 390 option. Good memories, I know I've been over 100 MPH in both (as a kid!).

Lots of the taken off bits... Grille, etc, but I am still going through, and have located a couple sources for parts... Finding seats is one of my big look-fors

There used to be one parked on the side of the road when I was a kid walking to school back in the 60's

Parked among Austin A35 and Ford Anglia's it looked a bit out of place.
