I know somewhere this has been covered before in various articles, but I could not locate it. I need to send my distributor off to have it rebuilt. I currently have an electronic setup, but want to go back to points. What is everyone"s thoughts on where the best place to send it to. I seem to remember that there are several rebuilders out there. Thanks.

I’ve used Jeff at Advanced for 3 or 4 dizzys and he does a great job. I sent him the specs of the engine build and he matched the dizzy to that. I bought an extra plate with points and condenser ready to drop in if I ever have a problem.

I've used both that were mentioned...the difference is the turnaround time.
Maybe the price too...I haven't checked Jeff's in a long time.

I used Jed, did a great job ata fair price. I recommend calling him to get a place in the queue and inquire about turn around time. Jeff has some of the components built for him to ensure quality.

I used Britishvacuum, nice job, fast, added their vacuum advanced. Very happy, Rob is very helpful. P.s. using Petronix for several years, no problems.

I went with Rob at BVU also. Great guy to talk to. I went back to points and he re-curved the distributor to go with the Weber carbs. He advised setting the static timing to 10 degrees. Well, I did that and it fired right up! Just waiting for the snow to melt so I can take the TR out for a test drive.

Jeff Sclemmer for sure. I don't bother asking his price because I want him to do it and know he is fair. Never a complaint.

Used parts are negotiable; they look better on your car than in my shop.

OK people, lock in your votes. (Is there really a Jeb?) Good to know there are two for sure that apparently deliver the goods. - pete

Thank you everyone for your reply. I guess it's down to the two places and I'll call them and talk to them to get a feel for who I want to go with.
