These cars are so easy to diasemble...especially one that has not been left out to rust up...

With a stubby ratchet and a 7/16" socket you can remove all the wings, the nose and most of the body work...just some larger bolts and lots of spacers holding the body to the frame.

Two people can lift the body...or at least I did and found it not unreasonable...

Lots of great rubber/urethane kits abound for the suspension pieces. Although I just pressure washed, sanded and painted my frame, the price to have it powdercoated was reasonable..

However....I have not attended or entered a car in a concurs restoration in over thirty years, so I have no idea how the "unrestored" class is handled....

Mark,

The Bluemels plate is, of course, the British license plate that was on the car. I didn't think she'd part with that. You're very luck to have the car. Good luck with it!

Mark,

I forgot to ask regarding your research, when and if you do a factory and/or British Motor Heritage trace to determine the origin particulars about your TR, please share with the list. I'm interested in knowing what color the interior was called. I believe it's original.

I love seeing that SAC (strategic air command) sticker on the front bumper...reminds me of the years we spent growing up in and around SAC bases...thumbs up

Looks like a gem, Mark. I hope you'll go back to the wide whitewalls and ditch those skinny whites!

When ever something needs servicing I intend to replace those items with what ever the car came with from the factory.

My first trip to Pittsburgh and I loved the PVGP event. Spent most of Saturday wandering through the hills of cars. I was there for the BMW corral, but made my way over to view the Triumphs also. Talked to a few of the Owners and looked for finishing tips on the work I am doing on my TR3A. Fascinating to see so many diffences in the details of essentially a line of the same cars on display.

Would go back again in a heartbeat. Awesome event.

Cory that’s a TR3B, somewhat rare.
