I acquired this little beauty when I was 17. A fellow owed me some money and since he couldn't come up with it I said " I'll take the GT6, sign it over" I drove the car for two or three summers then met a girl, got a good job, house, family, etc......so I sprayed it with WD40 and parked it in one of my barns. We moved it recently to make it easier to start the restoration.
I'm not certain who's more eager, my wife, our kids or me but regardless, it's going to be fun. We also have a 1963 Falcon convertible and 1963 Comet convertible so there is no shortage of fun vehicles to drive.

Wow! Where do you go from here? What needs to be done to get it running?

Thanks everyone. It does clean up nice. It has a hole in each rocker box so they'll need patching, a little rust here and there to be blasted and repaired. The Interior is intact and no rips but the carpets are tattered so they need replacing too. I've been looking for the original blue but all I can seem to find are black which I don't want. It ran fine and everything worked ( no overdrive) when I parked it. I'll drain and clean the tank, lines and carbs, install new points, cond, plugs and I'm ordering new master/slave cylinders for clutch and brakes and whatever else she may need.

Randy - For the carpet, there's a nice sale going on right now at The Roadster Factory....including some blue choices.

Thanks Jim. Yeah, my wife and I are pretty lucky in that respect. Our "kids" ( all young adults actually) have always been interested in auto-anything. As I mentioned, we've got the rag-tops but our youngest son just started his own project. It's a '77 Ventura 2dr from West Virginia so it's in great shape. Came with a built 350 which he gave to my son-in-law for the '78 Regal he's building( another time). The Ventura is getting a Chev V6 that, down the road will receive a twin turbo set-up. Doing as much as possible in our shop he's hoping to keep it low-buck - without trading away safety.
