You've gone through 2 tanks of gas... Problem with contaminates there is gone..... water/moisture pools under the gas... and is no longer under your tank level...…. Eliminate that as a problem.... and move forward.....

DGV.... been there - done that...…

Possibly trash in the system by now - depending on your fuel filter - post tank -.... might have some trash around your carb bowl needle....

I doubt your fuel tank is your issue..... move to the DGV.... ( I assume that's what you've got...)… a minor carb rebuild - with new gaskets/needle/cleaning - should clear it up.... but others might disagree - and right now - all possibilities are open...

I am focusing on the carb now. Bear with me, I have a 1979 but there is no manual choke so it is the DGEV carb with the electric choke, correct? Anyone have a rebuild kit recommendation?

Some will say the best rebuild is to switch to SUs.

10-4, Doug. Trying to just use the K.I.S.S. theory on this one. Keeping it simple usually works best for me. :-)
