In reply to # 1586331 by tim65mgb For sale is a good used Convertible top for Spitfire mk3 and probably fit earlier round tail cars as well. Has one tiny wear spot on it. Good supple vinyl and windows. Windows are clear. $90 delivered.

Next is a nice used top boot for round tail /mk3
$50 delivered

Lastly a good tonneau cover with good zipper and snaps. It seemed to fit my mk3 but has a date of 1975 on it. So it will fit mk4 on for sure.
$75 delivered

Tim,
Sorry,
That top won't fit the earlier cars. They had entirely different top frames and no header rail for the top. So Mk3 only.
Both the top boot and tonneau cover changed at the beginning of the MkIV. So if they fit your Mk3 that is their application. The date may just be when the tonneau cover was made.
All the best,
Paul

FWIW, the front grommets on either side of the zipper of the tonneau cover seem to be spaced wide relative to the corresponding anchor pins on my '70 Mk3*; I suspect that tonneau is for a squaretail.

* I'm looking at the space across the zipper, and between the two grommets closest to the zipper at the front. On the tonneau for my '70 those grommets are located right into the corners of the zippered joint (about half an inch from both the zipper and the front of the tonneau). The picture above shows the corresponding grommets to be about two inches from the zipper on either side.

The correct original top for 1970 would have a zippered rear window. It does look like that one might fit, though.
