Hi Kem,
Just spotted your car, nice,
In Europe this would be a Standard Vanguard "Beetle back" So I was a bit intrigued by the 2000 Saloon nomiker.
Would you care to put up a picture of the bonnet badge? Just curious how it looks like

I'll be interested to see a picture of your roadster, I also own a 2000, just wondering if it is know to the TROC.

Some of Standards cars were badged as triumph in US ( Ten) and their naming policy is at times as clear as mud, not in this case then.
Good on you, it is a car that certainly deserves to be put on the road again. once very common (British army used them as staff cars) they are now near extint

Hi . The Standard Vanguard was never sold in the States comercially ,however 138 were
iimported to a New York dealer over a 3 year period (49-51) . Icould never find out what
happened to them. Even the later Vanguards were a completely unknown animal in the
States We use to take a 59 Vanguard on numerious trips to thr U.S. from Canada and it
caused much confusion The Vanguards sold quite well in Canada The one I am working on
has only 16,000 miles on it .
As to the Triumph 2000roadster , it has beeb one of dreams for the last40 years to own
one This one came to me via the grape vine My mechanic who is working on the Herald
located it last fall and sawit just resently .and sent me an e-mail about it .It is in drivable
condition needing cosmetics I am wintering in Texas and the car is back in Ontario ,
I tok the blunge and boughtit (when would I get another chance) I know very little about
Triumph2000'sbut will keep you posted when Iget home after Easter Kem
