  • Bringing it home from TeamTriumph in Warren Ohio

  • Frame painted with MasterSeries AG111

  • Test fitting front fenders

  • Rear quartering shot

Found a nice extra frame and body at Team Triumph in Warren Ohio. I have had the frame sandblasted and primed. It looks like it is in fantastic shape, it was a good find. Added braces in the door gaps to keep it from folding when lifted.

I think this is the basis of a complete car. The frame and body numbers are within 10000 (which says they are likely from the same car. See article here http://www.namgar.com/articles/article/mga_history/mga_chassis_vin_engine_body_number/ for more info on the relationship between the two numbers.

I got a heritage certificate for it so I know how it was delivered and its full VIN.

There may be issues when it comes time to license it, but I have a bill of sale and in NY there aren't titles for cars older than '74, just registrations. already went through it once with the '59.

Painted frame with MasterSeries AG111 paint, it looks great.

Have left and right front and rear fenders, also have boot and bonnet, some are actually OEW. Also found a 1600 style frame extension and a sway bar.

Formed up 4 right and 2 left inner sills, also cut out a left and right inner plate. Hoping to make a complete set of repair pieces for the body including the splash guards. Using the www.mgaguru.com site drawings as a guide.

Now have 2 early 3 main 1800 motors and head, I hope they provide one good motor to rebuild. Found another 1500 original motor only 400 away from the motor in the '59, with a high starter. Found entire drive train including transmission and drive shaft. Recently got a complete suspension all in good shape. They set up for wire wheel though, not sure if I will keep those.

Stored away now for the Winter in the new shed.

Do you need the folding convertible top bow mechanism . I have one and the original fabric top too. Of course the fabric is shot but , its good for a pattern and the little , hard to find hardware pieces . Email me if you're in need . Jeff , rjrscott3@comcast.net . By the way , your project car looks great . Just seeing the pictures gives me the restoration fever !
