“Little Blue”
spitfire mk3 tub on a GT6 rotoflex chassis with a tr6 (allegedly) 2.5L lump.

body conversion and mechanicals seem to have been quite well done. no major rust. Then the POs got hold of it...

and then the rear wheels studs sheared off today!

Time for an update. Body and chassis ok albeit not the best paint job. Most acilaries especially electrics and gauges were non functional or missing. Along with alot of hardware fixtures and fittings.
Decent shocks but the rear was a bit botched. So i re botched it a bit better.
Engine drinks oil.
Replaced heavy knackered wire wheels with alloy minitours
Rebuilt carbs using dolly dashpots for better bonnet clearance
Reverse engineered alot of the electrics
Fitted electric fan and Rick Patton fan eliminator. cooling is excellent once i cleaned out the crud from the head block and rad. Fitted a piece of plywood underneath which closes the gap between the bottom of the rad and the front most chassis cross member. Helped cooling at speed and maybe reduces turbulence under the front.

TO DO
Sort the engine so it doesn't drink oil
Lighten the front a bit...Maybe alloy rad, alloy pump housing, stainless extractor and move the battery behind the seats.
New clutch and bearing...Bit noisy in neutral.

Hi, not sure about the exhaust manufacturer. It came with it.I suspect phoenix or similar but it's only the back boxes, y pice and centre pipe....not the expensive 631 manifold alas. I'll take some piccies later. It's not exactly quiet ;-)
