I did a complete frame off restore begining in 2001. It took 3 or 4 years to complete it but was able to drive it and even show it during that time.

Beautiful car! I always loved green. I have a '73 with VIN FM1669U,
but yours is even earlier.

Question, Is your's badged a MK IV? Normally FM VIN's are 1500's. While mine came out of the factory with a 1500 engine, it was badged a MK IV. I always wondered how many cars came out like that. Thanks for checking out my car, it has been with me a long time, about 25 years.

No, mine isn't badged a MK IV. In fact, the PO put custom badges with "Spitfire 3800", since mine has a GM 3.8L V6 in it. I actually didn't realize that it would have been in a different category.
