Has anyone ever dyed a canvas convertible top and how did it come out

I thought this was going to about praying over a holey top.

The PO dyed the black top of my TR6 in a brown shade to match the Sienna Brown body color, so it definitely can be done successfully. I plan on dyeing my tonneau cover this winter. I'll start a thread on the experience once I get started. To ensure full coverage I plan on using a rub in/on dye rather than an aerosol spray. I found a vendor on line who custom mixes dyes based on the vin # of the car.
