Interested in purchasing the proper throttle linkage for twin SU Carbs, new or old. Does anyone know who sells them? Anyone have a good photo to post of what it should look like? Thanks!

From your sign on, I'm assuming you have a 1500 and want to convert from the single Stromberg carb to the British spec HS4s or a pair of HS2s from a MKIII. Rimmer Bros, in England, has the parts for these conversions, I've done both. They also have exploded diagrams detailing the parts for each setup. I also rigged one up with some aluminum angle bracket and general purpose throttle return springs on my 1296 engine.

I had the same dilemma when I mounted the SUs; missing linkage. I hacked the piece from an old ZS carb to hold the throttle cable and mounted it to the plate that holds the return springs. Its worked great for three years.

Very nice Ernie. Your hand made linkage is what got me thinking about a better set up. Thanks!

The picture is from my 63 Spitfire race car. I added an external oil filter and cooler. The large braided hose running back along the firewall goes to a 2 quart Accusump mounted in the cockpit.
