Still doing the small things until I can paint the car. Two days ago I cleaned and preped the old hood cover and sprayed it with black spray dye. Today I put on new snaps. The dye went on very well but contrary to reviews that said it dried to a satin finish; mine was glossy. Coverage was really good but I am not sure if it is too glossy. The camera makes it more glossy than it really is but what can you expect from a cheap smartphone!!! Anyway, I attached some before and after photos.

In the before photo if you look to the left you will see my shop foreman. He comes by now and then to inspect any progress. He is a little guy but he is tough!

Since I won't be using the hood cover for some time, I guess it will give me some time to mull over the glossiness. confused smiley Sure looks brand new though!

The trunk side template is also in the finished picture, along side the felt that I just cut out.........next little project.

Re-painted my rear wheels, bled the rear brakes, and installed one of those little retaining clips for the throttle cable (actually turned out to be a huge pita).

The sun is shinning, the side mirror has moved and there is a different wheel block.

Did I win???!

If it's not leaking, it's empty.

The Cragar's look awesome on the car! They almost make me wish that I looked for those instead of the 14" Dayton Wires.

Be well

I have always liked look of the low bumper Spitfires and GT6's the best. Nice work detailing the grille - it pops well against the red. Enjoy whist the weather holds out!

Good eye. These were taken a week apart. I tried to match as close as I could.

Yep. Rear wheel.
Finally figured out my issues and removed the temp. It was missing chunks...

Thanks Jack. I'm probably the only one running cragar ss.
I've finally got a set of 6. Previously I only had 4 and no spare. Took me a long time to find them, they are rare I've discovered. To make matters worse finding the right tire and a company that makes it is a pain. Then there's the whole offset/spacer/adaptor issue.
Your probably better off with 14's.

Yep. And that's ok with me.
Question is, who copied who?

I've contemplated red-line tires. I think they look great on a TR6. I'll have to Photoshop a sample and see what it looks like.
