I still have a long ways to go on my current restoration, but I'm already thinking about my *next* Spitfire project.

These cars are unique on their own, but I can't help thinking that a RHD Spit would get even more looks.

Anyone have a RHD (right hand drive) Spitfire? How's the experience been?

Anyone have a RHD Spit they want to let go of next spring? confused smiley (Don't tell my wife that I asked this question...)

Well, there was this one that had an airplane engine at 2017 SEMA. Anyone have a Spitfire cockpit they want to sell? winking smiley

Ii had a couple of RHD spitfires. But that was in the UK ;-)

What is interesting is if you fit a RHD steering rack in a LHD car, or vice versa.

The car steers left, when you turn right.

Great fun!

could always buy one in England Ship it over. A new shelf, dash and steering rack may be all you to convert one.

You'll also need to swap over the positions of the battery box, the master cylinders and pedal assemblies.

Unless you just want to steer the car, and let your passenger do all the footwork! winking smiley

Chris,
I have a rhd steering rack for a Spitfire I'd like to sell. Listed it on the BST forum about a month ago.

"Mr. Filby, do you think he'll ever return?"
"One cannot choose but wonder. You see . . . he has all the time in the world!"
