These front turn signal Blingers were put on by the previous owner. The car came off the road 1n 1982 (I bought it in 2011). Just wondering if anyone has these things. I didn't wire them out when I re-wired the car but left them on to cover the holes in the bonnet.

Looks like something JC Whitney would have sold back in the day!

My '66 Thunderbird has those. I think other 60's era cars did too. Roadrunner... Very cool look!

Jim,
I got used to seeing those on Chrysler products. I figured they were there because the flasher unit was so quiet the driver couldn't hear it reliably, so they put a light that showed the signals were flashing in the field of view.
All the best,
Paul

some companies tried to do away with the signal click, but it didn't go over well. Today's cars pipe the audible turn signal through the car speakers.

if it were my car... those lights would be removed....

Next we'll hear the blue dots on the headlamp visors should go.

I'm leaving them on to cover the drill holes in the bonnet. If I ever paint the car (doubtful) off they go !
