Keep in mind - milling the head to achieve compression also changes the geometry of the pushrods/lifters/cam......... Enough milling to raise compression appreciably will result in costly and time consuming fine adjustments on the top end.... IMHO.....

geometry only changes if you shim the rockers . use shorter push rods from TS Imports - Ted is a great guy willing to share his knowledge

Roy is correct.... It's the KISS theory....

My bad - I was reminiscing about an old racing engine (455 Olds) - that milling work required we use custom adjustable pushrods to get proper clearances (solid lifters) as we hated to shim the cam....... and those, were a royal pain in the rear.....

Yeah, the Spitfire pushrods are very nearly vertical, so head/block milling has very little effect on timing.
But if a higher lift cam, or higher ratio rocker arms are fitted, it's worthwhile to check the 'wipe' pattern
of the rocker pad on the valvestem tip.
