I often get the names of stuff a bit mixed up and being a brit i still call the hood a bonnet and a trunk a boot drives the wife crazy and confuses the guys at work everyone howls at spanner for wrench spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Same here. I totally understand. It drives the wife crazy too.

Same here. I totally understand. It drives the wife crazy too.

I am a purebred American. And so is the American Steel guy that taught me the bodywork and painting. By the time we were done, I even had HIM calling it "bonnet and boot". To this day, the names have stuck, but just on my cars. His, he still calls the American name.
