I'm trying to push the steering wheel closer to the dash. The locking nut is frozen. I need to know which way to turn it to loosen. Sitting in the drivers seat does it loosen counter-clockwise or clockwise?

Jack- sitting in the seat, clockwise to loosen- as though it threads onto the back of the steering wheel.

The standard wheel actually is closer to the dash than the adjustable wheel can be pushed in. For me, the adjustable wheel starts out too close to me and then adjusts way too close. eye popping smiley grinning smiley
