In July/August 1936, there was a Britian to US to Canada Motor Rally. The participants rallied in the UK, then took the Queen Mary to the US then rallied from NYC to Montreal. I have found a newspaper article from July 1936 that mentioned the rally coming in late July and a website (BARC) that mentions two US-US-Canada rallies in 1936 and 1939.

Does anyone know of this rally? Know of someone who might know? Any referecne material ideas?

Any help wouldbe appreciated as I possibly own one of the two Triumphs that are rumored to have participated.

Try contacting the REVs Institute at www.revsinstitute.org They have a very large automotive library with information going back over 100 years.
Good luck,
Phil

Thanks Philip. We'd love to see one or both of your Roadsters at the 2016 VTR National Meet in North TX, October 2016. We have at least 4 Roadsters committed and 4 Pre-40 Triumphs.
