ditch the plastic elbow and buy 5/8 inch molded gates heater hose with a 90 degree bend in it...it comes with a long length that reaches water pump to heater core (6 ft or 1,800 mm)...I run mine around strut housing on frame rail-vs under intake manifold...less connections to leak...
