I haven't contributed for awhile because I've been in my high season and working at madman pace. Things are normalizing and my new quickjack has arrived! It's awesome especially if you don't have space or height for a lift. No more jackstands....now that I have a little time to work on my cars. Now to chasing down oil leaks.......

Nice Steve!! I've been considering the same but it would need to fit my GT6 in addition to my TR250. I think the GT 6 may not fit since the wheel base is shorter than the TR.
Your TR is the same color as mine. I'm also looking at a mid-rise scissors lift. A friend has one and I've had my TR up on that and it lifts to 52".

Yes Brian, a mid-sized has definite advantages. I needed something that I could easily move around due to keeping 3 cars in a two car garage and having to move the center car out of the garage and drag the right car over to get it out. With the quickjack, my 64 year old body can move and set it up in about 3 minutes! Your car looks amazing! Mine is now solid mechanically but needs paint and the stripe put back on. It's just too much fun to drive to tear it down for paint now! BTW, if you send me the measurement between the front and rear tires - 2" off of the ground - I can tell yo if the quickjack will work on your gt-6.

Steve, I measure about 64 inches at about 2" off the ground as you mention, this if for the GT6. I measure about 68" for my TR250. Pretty close but.......
So today I was able to purchase an original aluminum surrey top, very complete, a decent chunk of change so that may set back the purchase of a lift for awhile. Depends if the wife takes pity on me and sees how much effort it takes for me crawl around on the floor. And I agree with you, it's not as easy to move around down low for we seniors. I'm 67 and getting up and off the floor isn't as easy as it used to be. Fortunately this Triumph disease is a labor of love.

Steve,

Did you purchase the BL-3500SLX, 5000SLX, or 5000EXT? I'm about to make a purchase and am leaning towards the 5000EXT but am not quite sure which one fits best on the TR250.

Thanks,

David, I bought the 3500SLX. I think that the 5000SLX might be a little too long. The EXT is definitely too long. Quickjack has a measurement guide on their site: https://www.quickjack.com/quickjack-features.html

I bought mine from Automotive Equipment Specialists. They had the best price at 999 and free shipping. I was very pleased with the service....about 8 days from order to receipt and good info all along the way. https://automotiveequipmentspecialists.com

You'll appreciate it!
