Dale, get that 250 back on the road. One thing I noticed today while driving my TR with the Surrey top is fewer rattles. Naturally without the old soft top frame rattling and shaking it sounds better now. One of the better things I've purchased for the TR in a long time.
You just never know if another Surrey will show up-------hummmm----cool smiley

Did I miss if Kevin sold one of his Surrey setups?

Kevin?

It seems to me that there are enough folks interested that we might get together and get a batch of tops made, including OE Glass.

I know that Charles at TRF has connections to get OE style Safety Glass made if there is enough interest, he did that for our Stags a while back.

I recall Charles has a Surrey setup on his TR5

How many orders would be needed to have a go?

Have you looked at the ones offered by Revington in the UK? Yes they are a fiberglass knockoff butt. Getting cast aluminum ones made would be great but the cost would be ridiculous.

Here's a few pictures of my Microplas fiberglass surrey top. It's been at a friend's house in Kentucky since I bought it last March, but it should be here this weekend, along with my new Stag. As I understand it, they can be a challenge to fit properly, but it was a good deal and is complete. I'll let everyone's know, what it's like once get to look at it closely.

I've just never really figured out the "sell one when you get another" part of it all...

Hi Larry,

Congratulations on snagging a Microplas. Microplas makes one of the nicer Surrey tops, and I don't think they are being made any more, are they? I found that the mounting system -- those thin, dangling bolts -- leaves something to be desired. On mine, they got in the way of the top down sitting down tightly onto the raised cockpit surround. Let us know how yours fits. Maybe I just got a "Friday" top. Did yours come with a glass back-light or plastic? You can get a split hard top section that fits in the boot when removed. Not sure who markets them now.

Doug,
I've heard about the problems with the Microplas attachment hardware.
I'll see how it fits and may end up making some modifications.
