I couldn't help myself! In an effort to rekindle the stalled restoration of my 73 Stag, I did the only sensible thing. I bought another Stag! This one is a 71 with O/D and hard top. Yes, this makes perfect sense (as I explained it to my wife...) It gets me back into a nice driving Stag, and gives me a template on how to put mine back together after being apart for 5 years! I bought it from a good friend out in Oklahoma. The picture is from yesterday when it was loaded on the transporter. Now, I just have to not put all the new and NOS parts on the 71 that are meant for the 73!

I've just never really figured out the "sell one when you get another" part of it all...

Hope it works out better for you than it did for me! I wound up spending all my time trying to keep the second one running; then started robbing parts from the first one; and now neither of them run.

I hope it works out better for me too! I have boxes and boxes of new and NOS parts for the 73 that I don't want to use on the 71. And once the 73 is done, the 71 will be sold. I don't need another restoration! But in the meanwhile, I can enjoy it!

You won't have any issues Larry, I have seen the Stags and Triumphs you have restored and they are always top notch. Hope to see this latest one sometime!

Thanks Glenn,
I've always regretted selling my magenta 73 Stag. That was a beautiful restoration!
It'd be great to be able to take one of them to a VTR!

Well done! As the owner of a 71 Saffron Stag with overdrive, I was impressed with the picture of your new acquisition. It looks like a beauty!
