I have Robert's heat shield. It is a work of shiny art! With the European exhaust manifold, I elected to put a slight joggle in mine to keep it blocking the radiant heat, not conducting it! I used a bench brake, and very carefully bend in the joggle prior to removing his protective layer. The stainless steel bends with difficulty, it should hold the new shape with no problems!
